Our FitStar of the week is Jackie Johnson from Dallas, TX. We actually featured her husband Isaac on our blog in July. You know what they say – a family that FitStars’ together, gets FIT together! And in this case it’s true, as Jackie and Isaac have been doing FitStar as a couple and motivating each other to eat healthy. Through FitStar, Isaac rediscovered his athletic self and lost nearly 40 pounds. Jackie, a busy mom who stays at home with two boys, has lost 30 pounds and her pre-pregnancy clothes are now too baggy!

Here are five facts you need to know about FitStar: Jackie Johnson.

1. How long have you been using FitStar and what Program do you use?

I have been using FitStar 6.5 months and I use the Get Moving Program along with the Freestyle Sessions.

2. What is your FitStar story?

Since starting FitStar, I have lost 30 pounds and am getting stronger every day.

3. Why is FitStar a good fit for you?

FitStar is a good fit for me because these workouts can be done from home with no equipment. I also love that the workouts get harder as you get stronger so I can continue to reach my goals. Being a stay at home mom of two very energetic boys, I don’t have the luxury of going to the gym everyday so being able to put my 8 month old in his “office” and put in work in my living room is amazing! My 3 year old also loves to do the workouts with me. I’m so happy that I’m not only burning calories and staying healthy, but I’m setting a good example for my boys and that is motivation to keep pushing and not give up!

4. What have you gained by using FitStar?

Since I began using FitStar right after having baby number two (with doctor’s approval of course), I have noticeably higher energy levels and not only do all my pre-pregnancy clothes fit but they are falling off of me! I have also gained muscle mass and can feel my body becoming stronger every day.

5. What tips or advice do you have for others that may help get them started or keep going?

Getting healthy and losing weight is definitely a struggle of the mind as much as it is of the body and I am so grateful for my loving husband who is on this journey with me. Eating healthy and clean foods is the hardest part for me, but if the household is on board it makes this task so much easier. Don’t let being a mom be an excuse for not being healthy. If I can do it I know you can too!!

    This is so true and inspiring. I am a young mom who also works full time. My excuse was always that I don’t have the time with my 1 year old but now that I found a routine that I love with convenience I am excited to actually work out each day.

    Did Fitstar also change her tatoo from one side to the other?? Come on guys!!

      This can happen when someone takes one picture in a mirror then the other one is taken by someone else (just a regular picture), it makes it look like it’s on the other side. It’s weird, but try it & you’ll see what I mean.

      No, we didn’t adjust the photo in any way. As Melody noted below, one of the photos was taken by Jackie herself in a mirror and the other was taken by someone else, so that’s why her tattoo appears to have moved sides.
