This week’s FitStar is Cassandra Harada all the way from Tokyo, Japan. She’s someone a lot of you can probably relate to: a busy mom, shop owner and wife. With FitStar, Cassandra finally found joy in strength training and a workout plan she can stick to. She now has energy and muscles she never knew existed! Plus, has dropped 57 pounds over the last year!

1. How long have you been using FitStar and what Program do you use?
I’ve been using FitStar for 3 months. At first, I was just using what was posted on YouTube and then when I realized it was an actual app, I downloaded it and started using Get Strong.
2. What is your FitStar story?
Since I started FitStar, I’ve lost 5 cm in my waist, 8 cm in my hips and developed upper body strength I’ve never had before. Over the last year with diet, I’ve lost 57 lbs (26kg).
3. Why is FitStar is a good fit for you?
I’m a mum, a shop owner and a wife. I’m busy! 30 minutes in the morning is a perfect fit for my life. Also, my job is hand knitting (sedentary!) so FitStar gave me the energy to get off the sofa after a day of work and move more! I’ve always hated strength training, but the app makes it easy, and a joy rather than something I dread. It’s the first exercise program in my life I’ve been able to stick to!
4. What have you gained by using FitStar?
I’ve gained confidence, upper body strength and energy. Plus, tons of muscles I never knew were actually in my body, and the belief that if I just keep going, I’ll get stronger, and better. I’ve never been able to do a push-up before. I’m doing push-ups now!
5. What tips or advice can you share with others, who also may dread strength training or are unable to stick to an exercise plan?
Just keep following the FitStar Program and it does get easier. Back plank kicks were the bane of my existence and now I can finish a set. Just do as many as you can of each set and it eventually gets easier.
