FitStar was built on the belief that technology can help get people moving and live healthier lives. Last September when Apple announced their plans to launch the Watch, we knew we were witnessing a milestone in the innovation of digital health experiences. We believe this new hardware is another avenue to help you live an active and healthy life – and that’s why our team has worked hard to make FitStar Yoga available on the Apple Watch for launch!

We’re so excited to bring FitStar Yoga to the Apple Watch because it means you can easily control yoga sessions from your wrist. And it’s all there: see the pose name, image and time remaining in each pose during sessions. A quick glance at your Apple Watch will give you necessary info and visual cues to seamlessly flow through dynamic sessions featuring our incredible yoga expert, Tara Stiles.

We didn’t skimp on the details, either. Just tap on the Watch to see overall time remaining, as well as utilize the play, pause, back and forward controls. For folks using Airplay to experience workouts on the big screen, FitStar Yoga sessions can be started remotely from the wrist. And just like other FitStar platforms, we depend on your feedback so we can better customize your future workouts. Pressing firmly on the Watch at any time during a session allows you to tell us how you’re doing. It’s kind of like having a whole world of wellness in your hand… or, in this case, slightly above your hand.

It’s thrilling to be a part of this important milestone and hope you watch-wearers and FitStar Yoga enthusiasts enjoy the new experience. We’re still busy behind the scenes developing more features that take advantage of the Apple Watch technology. And don’t worry all you FitStar Personal Trainer fans – that app is also coming to wrists everywhere shortly, so stay tuned.

We see this as an important step forward – but it’s also just the beginning for us at FitStar. We’re committed to providing compelling experiences across all platforms, from the wrist to the TV, and of course further exciting integrations with our Fitbit family. Stay tuned!

Don’t have FitStar Yoga yet? To sync with the Apple Watch, you will need to run FitStar Yoga concurrently on your iPhone. So make sure to download the app and get your stretch on for free by heading to the App Store or http://fitstar.com/getyoga.

Tick, tock – it’s Om O’Clock. Don’t you think it’s the perfect time to strike a pose?

We love hearing from you! Please share your feedback on FitStar Yoga for the Apple Watch in the comments below or by sending us an email at support@fitstar.com.

Make It Happen,

This doesn’t make any sense. Instead of focusing on 0.01% of the user base that will end up not using it, I would be more wise to fix the web client that is lacking in many areas.

I don’t see FitStar Yoga linking to Apple Health. When I click the setting inside the FitStar yoga app, it says to set the settings under privacy on my phone settings. But I only see “Fitstar” listed, and not “FitStar Yoga” This is rather annoying, and hopefully I’m just missing something. Please tell me how to get the app to auto link my yoga workouts onto Apple Health!
