FitStar is on a mission to inspire people to live healthier lives by creating innovative health and fitness apps.

Americans spend over $75 billion per year on health and fitness. And yet, two of every three Americans are either overweight or obese.

It’s a huge, complex problem.

So what are we doing about it?

About

The FitStar team, led by Mike Maser and Dave Grijalva, has deep expertise in gaming, mobile development, and social platforms from places like Digg, EA, and ngmoco:).

We’re smashing these disciplines together to create unique fitness experiences. Existing health apps are useful but feel like utilities. We want to engage millions of people by developing apps that are immersive; more like an addictive video game or TV show, and less like an Excel spreadsheet.

At the end of the day, we got tired of making things that keep people on the couch. We felt like it was time to use some of our super powers to get them off of it.

We’re just starting out, but we’re really excited about the road ahead. Just ask Dave—in a few short months since co-founding FitStar he’s dropped over 30 pounds and 10% bodyfat.

If you too feel passionate about fitness and want to make an impact, check out our open positions. We want to hear from you.
